We're taking another important step forward in our Pride in Place journey, with John Arceno appointed as the independent Chair of the St Nicholas Neighbourhood Board.
This is a major milestone in bringing £20 million of Government investment into our community over the next 10 years.
Pride in Place is about decisions being made by the community, for the community.
The Neighbourhood Board will work with local residents to create a long-term plan for the area, deciding how this once-in-a-generation investment can make the biggest difference - whether that's improving community spaces, strengthening local connections, creating new opportunities, or supporting the priorities that matter most to you.
As a St Nicholas resident for 15 years, John has a strong track record of serving our community. I'm looking forward to working with him, the Board and all other local people as we put power into the community's hands and build a brighter future for St Nicks together.
This is real progress - and we're only just getting started.
