I’m proud to have joined neighbouring MPs in backing Stevenage Borough Council’s bid to establish a VALOUR Hub for veterans and the wider Armed Forces community across our area.
As our MP, I work closely with veterans and local organisations like The Muster Point and Royal British Legion Stevenage Branch supporting those who have served. I know how important it is that veterans, service leavers and their families can access the right support when they need it, on things like housing, employment, health, welfare and overall wellbeing.
A VALOUR Hub in Stevenage would bring organisations together, making it easier for people to find the support available to them and helping services work together more effectively. Our town is ideally placed to act as a hub for North and East Hertfordshire, with strong transport links and established partnerships across the public, voluntary and veterans’ sectors.
I’ll continue to do everything I can to support our veterans and Armed Forces community, and I hope this strong local bid gets the backing it deserves.
